Welcome to Spanish Class! I am Ms. Oliveira, a Spanish teacher at Samuel S. Shull School. I love teaching at Shull School and have been teaching for 25 years. I have a Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Spanish and Psychology from Rutgers University and a Master of Arts in Urban Education, specializing in Spanish, from New Jersey City University.
I love teaching Spanish. I advocate education and believe learning does not have to be boring. My goal is to help my students learn the Spanish language through activities in listening, reading, writing, and speaking.
I look forward to making our Spanish class time together educational, fun, and engaging.
Before deciding to enter the field of education, I enjoyed working for nine years in Social Services. I have opted to leave this field to pursue a long-felt desire to teach and motivate students to acquire the Spanish language. My passion is my family. Also, I love traveling, taking pictures, listening to music, and playing sports.
